Production Unit Manager - Transducers
Servomex is a global leader in the design development and manufacture of advanced gas analysis products. Based in our new Technical Centre in Crowborough, East Sussex, you will manage and direct our core transducer production unit, maintaining and further developing our state of the art manufacturing processes.You will have strong leadership skills, with the energy and drive to deliver the highest performance from yourself and your team with the ability to ensure the manufacturing unit is delivering in line with the expansion of the Transducers business.
Focusing on Six Sigma and Lean as key methodologies to drive forward continuous improvement in existing processes, you will deliver excellence in the supply of products and service to our customers, whilst improving margins for the business. To be successful in this role you will have proven experience to Six Sigma Green Belt certification within an engineering, manufacturing related environment.
You will be customer focused, with a high degree of discipline and structure and good communication and influencing skills. You will have a proven ability to drive improvement processes throughout the production unit of your responsibility.

Engineering Project Leader
Servomex is a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced gas analysis products. Based in our state of the art Technical Centre in Crowborough, East Sussex, you role as Project Leader is key to the development of new products and maintaining and enhancing existing products.As a Project Leader your role is to lead a team of engineers across all disciplines within our Industrial Business Unit to develop new products and maintain and enhance existing products which meet the market’s needs, are manufacturable, meet the manufacturing cost targets and are delivered on time. From concept through to product launch and production, you will have a proven track record of achievement in product development in a light industrial manufacturing environment. From agreeing the product development brief, you will be responsible for developing and agreeing the project plan and budget. You will know all about the product architecture and be able to resolve the key technical issues, managing all internal and external resources in meeting the brief, plan and budget.
You will hold a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to manage all aspects of the mechanical design process, with an appreciation of electronics, software engineering and manufacturing processes.
You will be a technically competent project champion who will fight for the project. Creative, innovative and results oriented you will possess good communication skills and be commercially aware. Problem solving is a key skill of yours with the tenacity to complete to plan, timescale and budget.

Mechanical Engineer
Servomex is a global leader in the design development and manufacture of advanced gas analysis products. Based in our state of the art Technical Centre in Crowborough, East Sussex, you will be a vital cog in the wheel of the development of the mechanical design aspects of measurement elements.Following internal promotion, we are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team of engineers from across all engineering disciplines. Reporting to the Product Manager/Project Leader you will be degree qualified with proven experience in developing, designing, evaluating and documenting all aspects of the mechanical design process. An appreciation of design for manufacture, the requirements for packaging sensitive electronic assemblies and knowledge of 3D CAD design, ideally ProEngineer or SolidWorks, combined with experience in aluminium casting, moulding and sheet metal design will be a distinct advantage.
As a creative, results orientated engineer with an understanding of the needs of Manufacturing, you will offer technical expertise and assistance in your particular area of competence. You will be self-motivated, commercially aware and tenacious in your drive to achieve your agreed objectives to planned timescales, managing on and off-site CAD resources. You will possess a can-do attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will participate in project teams when selected so a flexible approach is required.

Senior Spectroscopist
Role SummaryReporting to the Business Unit Manager – Process Instrumentation. Taking the lead role / technical authority for all spectroscopic and customer application analysis for a range of LDS (Laser Diode Spectroscopy) Process Gas Analysers.
Key Responsibilities
* Analysis of customer application details (process stream chemical composition, temperature, pressure etc) and estimation of analyser measurement performance based spectrascopic interpretation.* Selection of suitable single line absorption spectroscopy wavelengths for gas sensing applications considering all potential interferences and linestrengths at various gas pressures, temperatures and optical path-lengths
* Trouble shooting applications issues
* Central role in the New Product development process
Key Skills & Attributes
* Ph.D or B.Sc and equivalent experience in physics, physical chemistry or chemical engineering* Optical spectroscopy experience.
* Knowledge of basic optical system design
* Excellent communication skills
* Reporting and presenting to multidiscipline teams.
